The Justice delayed is equal to Justice denied. The case of Danielle McLaughlin who was brutally raped and murdered at Canacona three years back is yet to see the light of justice. Despite the direction from the supreme court to Fast-track the case of Danielle, the court is taking its own sweet time with hardly any development in the case.
Finally, the justice prevailed and one of the two accused of Scarlett Keeling murder case had been convicted by the High Court today. In its judgement which was pronounced via video conferencing the court held one of the accused Samson D’souza guilty for the “culpable homicide not amounting to murder”
Danielle McLaughlin would have been 30 on this day if she was alive but one wrong move resulted in her untimely and unfortunate demise. She was raped and brutally murdered by the person she trusted the most while on her vacation in this beautiful tiny state. The ghastly incident will complete almost two years now but she did not get the justice she rightly deserves yet. Her friends and family gathered to celebrate her birthday and the post went viral on social media.
