Goa is set to host a high-octane night of professional boxing as Susegado Strike Fight Night 3 returns on June 28, featuring Goan featherweight champion Pralhad Panda in a title defense that promises grit, glory, and local pride. Held at the iconic Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Miramar, the event will showcase six professionally sanctioned bouts, including two women’s fights, under the aegis of the Indian Boxing Council (IBC) and supported by Goa Tourism.

Headlining the fight card is 29-year-old Pralhad Panda of Bastora, who will defend his IBC West Zone Featherweight Title against 27-year-old Amit Kumar from Pune. Panda, who claimed the title in the previous edition, is eager to defend his belt on home turf.

“Defending my belt in Goa means a lot to me. This is where I’ve trained all my life. I intend to make this opportunity count,” said Panda ahead of the highly anticipated showdown.

Power-Packed Line-up of National Talent

The event will feature 12 fighters from across India, carefully selected for their form, merit, and match-readiness. Among them is 30-year-old Kailas Gauns, another Goan pugilist from Chimbel, who will face 22-year-old Prasad Katnoor from Virar in a super flyweight clash.

Other bouts on the card include:

  • Women’s Super Flyweight: Ramandeep Kaur (28, Bangalore) vs Rupika Rani (19, Abohar, Punjab)
  • Women’s Light Flyweight: Amruta Kale (25, Pune) vs Saanvi Gandhi (19, Chennai)
  • Men’s Cruiserweight: Ashish Ahlawat vs Taher Khuram (26, Mumbai; Afghan origin)
  • Men’s Super Lightweight: Maninder Singh (22, Barnala, Punjab) vs Bharany Velmurugan (30, Pondicherry)

While the main event will run for eight rounds, all supporting bouts are scheduled over six rounds each. The official weigh-in ceremony will take place on June 27 at Fitness Bar, Panaji, setting the stage for an action-packed evening at the Sala de Gaspar Hall.
