THE FILM WILL BE PRODUCED BY PRIYANKA CHOPRA AND THE SHOOTING WILL BEGIN IN GOA FROM THE NEXT MONTH. THE MOVIE THAT IS BASED ON THE LIFE OF TWO WORLD FAMOUS CARTOONISTS, MARIO DE MIRANDA, AND R K LAXMAN, PRIYANKA CHOPRA WILL ALSO BE ACTING THIS MOVIE.
According to the sources, Leading actress Priyanka Chopra is all set to act and work in the film directed and written by debutant Suvrata Nasnodkar from Porvorim. The film is tagged ‘Little Joe, Kahan Ho? ‘. is expected to be shot in Konkani as well as in Hindi. The movie will pay tribute to the legendary world famous cartoonists Mario Miranda and R. K Laxman.
The light-hearted drama about friendship will be filmed in the state during summer time. “Working with young people has been a wonderful ride for me. I think they’re far more professional and passionate. Little Joe, Kaha Ho? is a brilliant script and will feature many Portuguese songs. For the first time, the audience will see Goa as created by the Goans and not through Bollywood eyes,” says Madhu Chopra (Mother of Priyanka ).
The sources have revealed that Priyanka Chopra is very passionate about the regional ventures and the former beauty queen has decided to branch out and produce the films in several regional languages. Priyanka is presently producing the films in Marathi, Nepalese and Konkani languages. While her much ambitious Sikkimese-Nepalese film Pahuna is all set to go on floor soon, her mother Madhu Chopra recently revealed details about two other films which are in the pipeline.
While most of Priyanka Chopra’s previous films as a producer are based on varied genres, this time the actress, is planning on making films that celebrate childhood and women.
A film based on the world famous cartoonists Mario Miranda and R K Laxman is set in the backdrop of Goa and it will be filmed in two languages, Hindi and Konkani. The film which is titled as “Joe Kahan Ho? will be directed by debutant Suvrata Nasnodkar. The story of the film is said to be light-hearted drama which is the tribute to legendary cartoonists Mario Miranda and R K Laxman. It will also view the cartoons created by yet another veteran, Mario Miranda through the eyes of children. Talking about the film, Madhu went on to add that the film will explore the real essence of Goa and will even comprise of many Portuguese songs.
The sources have said that, since Priyanka Chopra is currently away in the US, shooting for Quantico. Once Pahuna wraps, the Chopras will get started on Little Joe, Kaha Ho? which is set in Goa and is in Konkani and Hindi. “I think young people are far more professional and passionate.
