Kicking off with grandeur and vivacity, Carnaval 2024 has commenced in the picturesque setting of Goa. The inaugural event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte and notable dignitaries including Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, MLA of Bicholim, and Shri. Kedar Naik, MLA of Saligao, among others.

The vibrant streets of Porvorim came alive as residents and visitors alike revelled in the jubilant atmosphere of the Carnaval float parade. From captivating displays to rhythmic music and mesmerizing dance performances, the community united in celebration, embracing the essence of this cherished tradition.

A standout feature of the parade was the enchanting float dedicated to Ekadasha Teertha, showcasing eleven meticulously selected temples across Goa, each embodying the state’s rich cultural heritage and spiritual significance.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, remarked, “I am thrilled to inaugurate Carnaval 2024 in the scenic town of Porvorim. This festival holds a special place in the hearts of Goans and visitors alike, symbolizing our state’s cultural richness and spirit of unity. With a promise of spectacular festivities, this year’s Carnaval is set to captivate all who partake in its splendour.”

From February 10th to February 13th, locals and tourists are invited to indulge in a four-day extravaganza, brimming with cultural delights and spirited revelry.

As Carnaval 2024 unfolds, let us embrace the joy, camaraderie, and cultural pride that permeate the streets of Goa, as the parade continues its journey to Panjim (10th Feb), Margao (11th Feb), Vasco (12th Feb), and concluding in Mapusa and Morjim (13th Feb).
