Embracing the magic of Goa’s monsoon landscape, the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) is organizing a special Monsoon Trekking Expedition to the Tambdi Surla Waterfalls on Sunday, 29th June 2025. The expedition promises a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty set deep within the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Goa’s most treasured ecological zones.
Nestled amidst thick tropical forest, the Tambdi Surla Waterfall is a seasonal marvel that comes alive during the rains, plunging into a tranquil natural pool surrounded by lush green canopies. As part of the trek, participants will also visit the nearby 12th-century Tambdi Surla Shiva Temple, a heritage monument carved from basalt and revered for its ancient architectural beauty.
An Immersive Nature Trail
The trek begins at the temple and winds through dense vegetation, meandering streams, and rich biodiversity. With the chirping of birds, fluttering butterflies, and the rhythmic sound of monsoon showers, the trail offers an unforgettable sensory experience. The 90-minute (one-way) route is rated moderately challenging and is suitable for those in good physical condition.

Promoting Eco-Adventure in the Monsoon Season

The Tambdi Surla trek aims to offer both tourists and locals a chance to reconnect with nature while exploring Goa beyond its beaches.
