India had already relaxed all the travel norms for the tourists from across the world, but it has retained the suspensions on the e-visa facility for Canadian Citizens to teach them a lesson.
The Indian government has recently made an announcement that it will issue a short term tourist visas to the foreign nationals entering India with 30 days validity.
The new visa policy will commence from November 15, but this privilege is not available for the Canadian nationals.
The Indian government has restriction on the visas for few countries including the for those holding Pakistani Passports and every other nationality can apply for Indian visa but Canadians have lost that privilege.
A senior Indian official told the Hindustan Times that the e-visa “suspension remains in place for Canadians in response to the testing restrictions” that Canada continues to subject travellers from India to.
Why Canadian Government Imposed Restrictions on Indians?
Canada has a very cordial relations with the Indian government, and many Indians are living in Canada, but then the question comes here as why Canadian government has imposed a restrictions on the Indian nationals and the simple answer is fear of Delta Variants.
According to the perception of Canadian government, India is the origin of Delta Variant and the restriction was imposed following the Delta Variant of Coronavirus cases surged in India during the months of April and May.
The Canadian minister made an announcements on Friday in which he said that beginning from the 30th October, only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to board the flights from Canada, but he did not motion any relaxations for the passengers arriving by air from India.
How to Enter into Canada From India?
The restrictions are in place from Canadian Government but that does not mean that Indian wont be able to travel to Canada at all. There are ways by following the route Indians can still get on board of flights to Canada and one of them is Mandatory Negative RT-PCR test from a single laboratory before getting on board of Canada flights.
For those Indians who are flying via third country will also have to obtain the Negative RT-PCR negative test from the point of departure from where the connecting flight is leaving from.

The Canadian government has imposed the full restrictions on Indian nationals travelling to Canada post Covid Surge of Delta Variant in April but later on the ban was lifted in the month of September and the direct flights were allowed from India.
