Goa International Fashion Week organized by Wild Orchid Entertainments in association with Media Waves will kick stat from 9th December at Bay 15 Resorts in Dona Paula. According to the organizers, it will be three days event starting from 9th to 11th December 2016. The Fashion show will witness who’s who from Fashion industry of India.
The press conference organized by the Wild Orchid Entertainment in Association with Media Waves was attended by all the dignitaries of both the companies. The Director of Wild Orchid addressed the press conference stating that this show will be staged to promote the upcoming talents in the fashion industry. “The aim of the WOGIFW is to promote the up and coming talents in the fashion industry and to create a platform for the designers to showcase their designs in front of the potential buyers in the fashion market”. said the director of Wild Orchid Entertainment Mr. William Xavier.
According to the organizers, the total of 17 Fashion Designers from, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Mangalore, Visakhapatnam, and Goa will be showcasing their designs in different categories like Bridal wear, Ethnic, Winter n Summer collections, Western and Indo-Western. Karishma Mehta, Puja Mapxenkar, Khushboo Haran Borkar and Philu Martines are the designers from Goa who are selected to showcase their designs in the GIFW 2016.
Celebrity Designers Sumit Das Gupta, Anees Deen, Nick Roshan, Kapil Bhantia, Ali Ahmed Shaikh, Naveen, Mohan Gowda, Madhu Varma will be showcasing designs in the WOGIFW 2016. Other Designers from outside Goa showcasing their designs are Arundhati Bijja, Siddharth, Yajnesh, Ruby Sayyed. Top models from Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai will be walking on the ramp. Shineade Vaz-Miss Goa 2016 and Kezaia Caldeira Mis Goa 2015 and recently won the title Queen of all cities in the world in the global pageant will walk as show stoppers.
This mega fashion week event of three days will witness not only the fashion show but various fashion related activities like fashion workshops, Grooming Session, Fashion Bazaar, Exhibition of accessories and apparels etc. Gates will open at 3pm daily and the event will get over by 10pm. Woman’s Era and FYI are the magazine partners. 92.7 Big FM are the official radio partners.
During the fashion week, to promote the trade and to connect designers with fashion consumers, the Wild Orchid Entertainment is also organizing trade fair which invites fashion consumers and buyers to discover and shop for emerging designer labels, established as well as upcoming fashion brands. After Parties are planned at Bay 15 on 9th, at Butter Pub on 10th and at Flying Dolphin on 11th December respectively. DJ Ronnie from Bangalore will be entertaining the guests.
